I believe that fire has always been intrinsically connected to humanity, and that connection resides in all of us. When the f lames dance and the wood crackles, we experience a return to something primal – a natural deceleration, in the truest sense. This feeling was what I wanted to convey when I created the grill fire. It was this very return to our roots that inspired me to bring cooking over an open flame back to life, just as our ancestors did many years ago.
